Different orchid families bloom at different times. Time your visit around what you most want to see β or come anytime, because something is always in flower.
Bloom timing varies year to year β call ahead at 504-419-5416 if you’re driving more than an hour and want to confirm what’s in spike.

Free parking right at the greenhouse. No sign-in, no doorbell β just walk through the open greenhouse doors and we’ll greet you.

From New Orleans (20 min)
Take US-90 Business / Pontchartrain Expressway across the Crescent City Connection. Merge onto LA-23 South (Belle Chasse Highway). Follow 11 miles. We’re on the left at 14079 LA-23.
From Baton Rouge (90 min)
I-10 East to the Pontchartrain Expressway exit. Cross the Crescent City Connection, merge onto LA-23 South, continue 11 miles.
From Mobile or Pensacola
I-10 West to the Pontchartrain Expressway exit. Cross the Crescent City Connection, merge onto LA-23 South, continue 11 miles. Plan a stop in NOLA for lunch.

Common questions
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk in any time during open hours β Tuesday through Saturday, 9am to 2pm. Appointments only needed for wedding consultations or large wholesale orders.
Will someone help me pick a plant?
Yes. Whoever’s around will walk you through the greenhouse, explain bloom timing, care basics, and what fits your home. No pressure, no commissions.
Can I just look without buying?
Absolutely. Many of our regulars come quarterly to see what’s in flower without buying that day. Bring a notebook β we’ll tell you when your favorites are predicted to bloom next.
Is the greenhouse climate-controlled? Will I be comfortable?
Yes β open-sided tropical greenhouse with shade and fans. Comfortable year-round. Wear comfortable shoes; you’ll be walking on gravel and concrete.
Are kids and pets welcome?
Kids: yes, kids who can stay close to a parent and not touch plants. Pets: please keep them in your car or at home β many orchids are easily damaged and our greenhouse cats roam.
How long does a typical visit take?
Most first-time visitors stay 30-60 minutes. Serious collectors and photographers stay longer. We won’t rush you.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes β Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover. Also cash, check, and Venmo. No minimum.
What if I drive 90 minutes and you’re closed?
Call before you leave β 504-419-5416. We’re closed Sunday and Monday. We occasionally close for holidays or weather; we post these on our Google Business Profile.
