Cindi Becnel
Hello! I’m Cindi, the proud owner of Belle Danse Orchids and Tropicals! My passion for growing orchids began back in 2012 when a good friend took me to an orchid show. After 27 years of running a hair salon and spa, I decided to transform my backyard hobby into a full-scale orchid and tropicals business. Today, I operate five greenhouses with over 15,000 orchids and tropical plants, cultivating more than 400 hybrids and species right here in Plaquemines Parish.
Our orchid farm spans 22 acres, surrounded by the citrus trees my family has been growing for over 200 years along the Mississippi River. Sharing my knowledge and love for these incredible plants brings me immense joy! My passion is always moving forward, growing alongside my business.

Judy Cantrelle
Hello my name is Judy ,and I am proud to be part of the team here at Belle Danse Orchids & Tropicals.
Born and raised in Plaquemines Parish, I’ve always had a passion for plants and flowers. My true love for orchids, however, blossomed thanks to our wonderful owner, Cindi.
I started out by frequently visiting the farm, captivated by the beauty and variety of orchids.
When the opportunity arose to join the team, I jumped at the chance. Now, working at the farm and alongside my amazing coworkers, I’ve found my ‘happy place’.
Thanks to Cindi’s guidance and expertise, I’ve learned so much about these incredible plants, and I am forever grateful for her mentorship. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and passion for orchids with all our visitors.
Denise Orgeron
Hello! My name is Denise, and my journey with plants and flowers has been a lifelong passion. It all began when I answered a Facebook post looking for someone to water plants three days a week. When I first visited the farm, I was amazed by the incredible variety of flowers and plants.
After a year, an opportunity arose for me to become the Office Manager, and I eagerly embraced the role. I have now been part of the Belle Danse team for two wonderful years, and I love coming to work every day! A big thank you to Cindi and Judy for teaching me all about orchids and making this journey so rewarding.
